Several Ladue School District’s schools’ programs were selected as a 2016 National Promising Practice by Character.org! The program highlights what classrooms are doing well across the nation and across the world.
The following school received the award for their programs:
- Ladue Early Childhood Center — Bringing Literacy Into the Home, Veterans Day
- Reed — STARR Teams (Students Taking Action and Responsibility), Action-Based Service Learning at St. Louis Food Bank
- Spoede — Camp Read-A-Lot
- Ladue Middle School — New Student “Bring a Friend” Club
This year, 327 Promising Practices were granted to schools, districts and youth-serving organizations from across the U.S., Canada, China, Colombia and Mexico.
The schools will be recognized and their winning practices will be celebrated at the National Forum on Character Education in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 14 and 15.
